Sojourner Truth House was honored to recently welcome representatives from the Women’s Foundation of Indiana to Gary as part of the Foundation’s continued efforts to engage communities and support women and families throughout Indiana.

The Women’s Foundation of Indiana is a statewide organization dedicated to investing in women’s economic mobility, leadership, wellness, and long-term community impact. Through listening, advocacy, and philanthropy, the Foundation works alongside organizations across Indiana that are helping women and families move toward greater stability and opportunity.

During their visit to Sojourner Truth House, representatives from the Foundation generously presented donations of essential items purchased directly from the STH Amazon needs list, including diapers, household supplies, children’s items, and other critical resources that will directly benefit the women and families served through our programs.

“We are deeply grateful not only for the generous donation, but for the Women’s Foundation’s willingness to listen, learn, and invest in Northwest Indiana,” said Angela Paul, Executive Director of Sojourner Truth House. “Their visit created meaningful conversations around economic mobility, workforce development, family stabilization, and the importance of strong community partnerships.”
