JOB TITLE: Facility Services Manager (full-time)


REPORTS TO: Director of Operations


In collaboration with the Executive Director and Director of Operations, provides strategic leadership for all STH direct services and programs with focus on quality, staff development and stewardship. Supervises and evaluates all department coworkers. Responsibilities include facility operations, food service and transportation.

  • Requires initiative, ability to work independently and as a team manager to plan, organize and set priorities
  • Requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations internal and external to the organization
  • Personal attributes include team orientation, persistence, professional appearance, tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to coordinate workflow distribution, delegate and be accountable for delegation
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment for a not-for-profit organization to articulate the mission, vision, and values of STH
  • Ability to articulate the mission, vision, and values of STH
  • Ability to be detail-oriented while also understanding the dynamics and needs of the whole ministry
  • Honesty, confidentiality, integrity, creativity, and resourcefulness are essential
  • Position requires good organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • One to three years’ maintenance experience
  • Three to five years’ experience in facility management
  • Associate’s degree preferred or maintenance certification
  • Strong math skills
  • PC-based software experience preferably including word processing and spreadsheet software such as MSWord and Excel
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items up to approximately 50 lbs. or more
  • Traveling may be required to perform assigned tasks; ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
